Ms. Diana Woodward

Diana Elaine Woodward, born on April 20, 1954, in Houston, TX, was sent to her eternal home on June 11, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of John David and Betty Jane Wyche. Known affectionately as Diane, she attended Milby High School and was proud of her work with the Houston Area Urban League, as well as her role as a Radiology Secretary for over 20 years. There was nothing that she loved more than spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life and brought her immeasurable joy. She was picky about who she called a friend, but once you earned that title, she loved you like family. Diana was known for her classy style and love for fashion. She was beautiful and refused to age with anything but grace. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. As the matriarch of this family, there is nothing that she wouldn’t do for her loved ones. She was the epitome of a mother, grandmother, and sister. Whether it was a place to stay, a few bucks to tide you over, or a hot meal, she gave to you from her heart. Diana was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Robinson, her mother and father, John David and Betty Wyche, and her brothers, Donald Wyche and David Wyche. Diana is survived by her son, Curtis Grays, Jr. (Camille), daughter, Devin Arceneaux (Kasey); grandchildren, Taylor Elliott-Yearby(Charlie), Khalil Robinson, Anisah Robinson, Camyren Grays, Curtis Grays III, Dayne Arceneaux, Corey Grays, and McKenzie Arceneaux; brothers and sisters, Christopher Wyche, Steven Wyche (Teresa), Bernard Wyche, Jack Wyche (Janice), Jacqueline Wyche, Sheila Wyche (Anita), Michael Wyche (Kimberly), and Patrick Wyche; aunt Sister Beulah Wyche along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who loved her the most. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
